Original vintage wildlife painting by Fran Martin Dixon, painted directly on a natural live-edge wood slab. Dixon is known for creating nature and wildlife scenes on naturally shaped hardwood, incorporating the knots, openings, grain, and irregular edges of the wood into the composition. His work has been exhibited at art shows and festivals, and he has received recognition for his wildlife artwork. The natural shape and character of the wood make each piece unique and give the painting a wonderful rustic, lodge, cabin, or nature-inspired look.
